As someone who has experienced the intersection of South Asian and American beauty standards, and how they relate to colorism, I strongly believe that sharing personal stories is crucial in raising awareness about this important issue. By sharing my own experiences, I hope to inspire others to do the same and create a space for honest dialogue. For too long, colorism has been a taboo subject, and it's time to break the silence. I want to encourage individuals from all backgrounds to share their stories with us, whether it's about feeling excluded because of their skin color or struggling with the pressures of conforming to societal beauty standards.
